Our Purpose
Empowering Educators. Inspiring Innovators. Transforming Communities.
The Community of Practice for Invention Educators (COPIE) exists to advance invention education and foster creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving among learners.
We believe that every educator has the power to inspire innovation and every learner has the potential to become a creator, inventor, entrepreneur, and change-maker. By strengthening educator capacity and connecting education with industry, research, and community needs, COPIE helps prepare learners with the skills, mindsets, and experiences required to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Why We Exist
Education must go beyond the transfer of knowledge. It should empower learners to identify challenges, develop solutions, and create meaningful impact in their communities.
COPIE was established to support educators in cultivating innovative learning environments where curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship flourish.
